Let Me Be Remembered As This

Issue 15
Put me on the list.
I will not censor my poetry, my voice, for anyone's comfort.
Put me on a list.
You're telling me a sequence of words about how
the American flag on the moon is a symbol of imperialism
triggered your fragile conservatism? That's fine.
Put me on a list.
My poem about the planning of the revolution was flagged on rednote?
Like I care.
Put me on a list.
I'm earning my name on lists like anarchist girl scout badges.
Let me be remembered as a political poet,
an outspoken poet,
a poet who voices her truth,
even if that earns my name on lists.
I don't care.
I will keep writing political poetry.
Isn't all poetry, all art, political?
Exactly.
Put me on that fucking list.
