Odes To The Moon

Issue 12
I wrote odes à la lune
In the dark of the night.
Then - I was not trying
In the smog-dimmed starlight,
To say: 'I love you'.
I was saying, simply,
And quite literally,
That I love the moon.

Now - I am just lying
Here, watching the moon kill
Clouds, wishing that were still
True -
