Working: Vol. 4, No. 2 - Issue 14 Summer 2025

I cannot look you in the eye.

Issue 7
No matter how much I try,
I cannot look you in the eye.

You know when I tell a lie,
I cannot look you in the eye.

I get jealous and try to pry,
I cannot look you in the eye.

It feels so bad, I’d rather die,
I cannot look you in the eye.

My heart is spilt, my fears run high,
I cannot look you in the eye.

You embrace me with a sigh,
I cannot look you in the eye.

I’m sensitive and get so shy,
I cannot look you in the eye.

You love me so, it makes me cry,
I cannot look you in the eye.
